Abstract
Recent methods in enumeration of bacteria basically are according to its gene or DNA. This method however is sophistically which can reach some degree of bacteria number than old method using culture technique, but has a weakness because the observed bacteria can not be studied to its behavior, life cycle, or usefulness to the human life and environment without cultured on a media. This research was studied some of agar media i.e.: Plate Count, HPCA, 1/20 PYBG, PYBG, TSA, PEA, and 1/3 NBGT to know the number of aerobic bacteria can be enumerated in intestinal content of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), gold fish (Carassius auratus), and climbing perch (Anabas testudineus), sea weed (Kappaphycus alvarezii), and water. The result shown that the HPCA, 1/20 PYBG, PYBG, and TSA can enumerate bacteria more than Plate Count, PEA, and 1/3 NBGT.
