Suhu dan Salinitas yang Baik bagi Kelulushidupan Larva Zoea Kepiting Bakau Scylla spp. Lokal pada Sistem Pemeliharaan Terkontrol

One of the most factors that caused low survival of mud crab Scylla spp. larvae when reared under controlled condition in seeding production stage is water quality. This research was focused on determining the suitable temperature and salinity of rearing condition for larvae survival of mud crab S. tranquebarica and S. serrata. Larvae of both Scylla spp. were produced by breeder where collected from Ambon Island waters. Their gonad was matured and incubated in laboratory. Fourty individu of larvae were reared inside six replicated bottle with each volume was about 40 mL, and then were placed into six treating aquarium with equipped by water circulation just under 20%. The temperatures treatment comprised 27,83±0,78°C; 29,78±1,0°C; 30±0,59°C for S. transquberica and 27,17±0,72°C; 28,42±0,72°C; 30,25±0,45°C for S. serrata meanwhile salinity treatment were 31, 33 and 34 ppt. The result showed that the range of temperature 28-30°C and salinity 31 ppt was suitable for zoea larvae survival rate of S. tranqueberica and S. serrata. Thus in high fluctuated temperature, the survival rate of zoea larvae zoea of both Scylla species were higher in optimum salinity (31 ppt) compare to high salinity. However the resistance of zoea larvae of S. tranquebarica was higher than zoea larva of S. serrata on different temperature and salinity level. This finding could be considered for the seeding production technology of local Scylla spp. in future.
