Inovasi Teknologi Produksi Benih Bandeng, Chanos Chanos Forsskal Berkualitas Baik Melalui Aplikasi Iodine dan Tetes Tebu dalam Manajemen Pemeliharaan Larva
Increasing demand of qualifiedly milkfish seed Chanos Chanos Forsskal, in order to increase aquaculture production to supported industrialization program. Seed quality was influenced by the quality of the egg and larval rearing management till seed has ready for growth out. Applications of Iodine as a disinfectant in the egg and molasses in larval rearing media of milkfish have been conducted using three units of 6 m3 capacity concrete outdoor tank, and filled with 100,000 milkfish eggs/tank and do as much as three cycles. The larvae were maintenance with Standart Operational Prosedure techniques (2013). The larval rearing period was done for 16-18 days until the seed morphology formed. Seed quality was observed at the end of the study based on the total length, body weight, and survival rate. The condition of the backbone was observed for completed data. The results of the study showed that the morphology of the seeds were active and responsively. The total length of 12.75 ± 0.36 mm, body weight 10.3 ± 0.91 mg and 89.14 ± 7.36% survival rate. That the total length and body weight in the study were positively correlated as : Y = - 0.718X2 + 20.708X - 136.96 and R2 = 1. The condition of vertebrae is sturdy with numbered 44-45 segmens and on the phase transition of cartilage to bone. The use of iodine as a disinfectant is effectively to improve the hatchability of eggs, as well as molasses media could be improve the water quality to produced a high survival rate. Thus through such innovations could to produced of qualifiedly milkfish seeds and proportionate, to support the expected future increase in aquaculture production and the succeeded of industrialization.
